Dr. Clayton Paul Windham
DOCTOR OF DENTAL SURGERY
Dr. Clayton Paul Windham is a native of Shelby County. He grew up in Center, Texas with his parents and sister. As a young boy, he loved being active outdoors, being involved in the community and spending time with his family. He achieved his Eagle Scout badge after years of service in the Boy Scouts of America in 2005 and later graduated from Center high school in 2005 with honors.
After high school Dr. Clayton went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2008. It was there that his passion for dentistry and helping others grew through various dental clubs and mission trips. One of his favorite times was volunteering for The Texas Mission of Mercy, an organization that offers free dental care at different venues throughout the state. This experience allowed him to see just how dentistry can impact lives in a positive way, and reinforced his desire to care for others in this setting.
Dr. Clayton attended the University Of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for his Doctor of Dental Surgery education. There he was able to hone his skills as a clinician and graduated in 2012.
Dr. Clayton is an active member in the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, East Texas Dental Society and Pineywoods Dental Study Club. He continues his education any chance he gets with Spear University, The Pankey Institute, Arrowhead Dental Laboratory and local study clubs focusing on occlusal therapy and disorders of the TMJ.
Dr. Clayton chose dentistry for many reasons. First, he saw how much his parents enjoyed their profession. He felt their passion and he knew very early in life that dentistry was a fulfilling career. Furthermore, his caring nature comes naturally and is a trait he feels is important to have when caring for patients every day. Dentistry allows him a unique avenue to help patients in ways that not many others can. Restoring smiles, confidence and most importantly, health, is the main focus of his practice. He has been proud to serve the residents of Shelby County and beyond since 2012, and plans to continue providing exceptional care that is patient focused for many decades to come.
Dr. Clayton feels fortunate to be able to walk in his father’s footsteps and carry on the values that are synonymous with their name.
Dr. Clayton is married to his wife, Jackie and they have two wonderful children, Everly and Liam. When not having fun at the office he enjoys gardening, beekeeping, flying and spending time with his family.
Jackie Windham
OFFICE MANAGER/REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
Jackie joined the practice in 2013 after graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dental Hygiene is something Jackie is passionate about in every way. Helping educate patients about their oral health, and being able to provide personalized care to her patients is very rewarding. She enjoys connecting on a personal level, to help ease the anxiety than can sometimes accompany dental visits.
Her role in the office grew when she and Dr. Clayton Windham purchased the family business in April of 2016. Since then, she has taken on the role of Office Manager and has thoroughly enjoyed this change. Assisting patients with their financial needs and co-discovering insurance benefits with our patients has been one of the favorite parts of her new role. Jackie still sees patients regularly as a dental hygienist, and it has been a lot of fun learning the “other” side of the office. If she is not in the dental chair cleaning teeth or up front assisting patients, you can probably find her in an office on the phone with Mrs. Sally getting some pearls of wisdom ? The transition has been challenging at times but Mrs. Sally has readily helped make this change less stressful at every turn with her years of wisdom and guidance available at the drop of a hat.
Jackie is a transplant to Shelby County. She grew up in Gladewater, Texas and graduated GHS in 2005. From there she went on to pursue a degree in psychology before discovering dental hygiene and made the switch in 2011.
Jackie and Dr. Clayton have two children, Everly and Liam. When not in the dental office, Jackie enjoys gardening, cooking and being outside with her family. Exploring the Piney Woods of Shelby County and making memories with her family is her favorite past time.
Lori McCauley
SCHEDULING COORDINATOR
Lori joined the Windham Family Dental team in February of 2017 as Scheduling Coordinator. Getting to know the patients and their families has been very enjoyable as well as enlightening. I was born and raised in Southeast Texas and the transition to East Texas has been a pleasant one. The people of East Texas are friendly and genuine. Meeting patients each day is the highlight of my work day (along with the great team that I work with). Like the people of East Texas I strive to be friendly and genuine each and every day. My goal is to make patients feel comfortable and also try and take the “stigma” out of a dental visit.
I have been married to my husband, Norman, for 28 years. We have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. We enjoy cookouts, football games, and getting together whenever possible.
